Nomad vs Airalo for the USA, with vigxo alongside: same GB, same 30 days

Disclosure and method

This page is published by vigxo, one of the providers compared. Listed USD price for the same data and validity on each provider's public page, before promo codes, credits or taxes.

Listed USD prices only, before promo codes, credits or taxes. Where a provider shows a sale price, the row says so. Rows are dated and drop out automatically once they are more than 30 days old, until someone checks them again.

USA: 5, 10 and 20 GB for 30 days

vigxo prices are live from the vigxo catalogue; competitor prices are as listed on the date in the table. Plan names show size and days only. The highlighted row is the plan linked from this page.

Networks as listed

vigxo's United States page lists Verizon and AT&T. The eSIM uses the networks listed on the page after you turn on data roaming for the eSIM line.

• Nomad's United States page lists "Verizon / AT&T". Source (checked October 15, 2026)

We only show network information that a provider publishes on its own page and that we have checked. This is a list, not an evaluation of any network.

What differs besides price

• vigxo is bought on the web: no app, and no App Store 30% cut built into the price.
• The install link arrives by email after payment, with a QR code as a fallback. 1-tap install on iOS 17.4+ and Android 10+.
• Validity starts at the first connection in the United States, not on the day you buy.
• Hotspot is included, so you can share with a laptop.
• Data-only: your home SIM stays on for calls and texts, and WhatsApp keeps your number.
• Full refund on any plan you haven't installed, up to 30 days from purchase.

From the other providers' own pages:

• Nomad's United States page says its plans can be activated within 60 days of purchase. Source (checked October 21, 2026)

Both Nomad and Airalo also sell packages they call "unlimited". Those are a different product type and are not compared here.

How much data for a US trip

Typical-use estimate (maps, messaging, social, some video), about 0.5–0.8 GB a day. Not a vigxo promise; your use will vary.

Road trips with navigation running all day stay fairly light; video calls, streaming and hotspot are the heavy items. The data calculator turns your habits into a size.

Before you buy

• Your phone supports eSIM: iPhone XR, XS and newer, iPhone SE (2nd and 3rd generation), Galaxy S20 and newer, Galaxy Z Fold and Z Flip, Pixel 3 and newer.
• Your phone is carrier-unlocked. That is required for any travel eSIM.
• For 1-tap install you need iOS 17.4+ or Android 10+. On older versions you scan the QR code from the same email instead.

Not sure about your model? The device check takes a minute. If the plan turns out not to work on your phone, you get a full refund on any plan you haven't installed, up to 30 days from purchase.

Phones bought on a US carrier contract are often locked; check with your carrier before you travel.
