Step 0 — check your phone

An eSIM needs a compatible, carrier-unlocked phone. Confirm yours in 10 seconds.

Install, step by step

On iPhone (iOS)

  1. Open the confirmation email and tap the install link — or Settings → Cellular → Add eSIM → Use QR Code and scan the QR from the same email.
  2. Label the plan “vigxo travel” and keep your home line as your default voice line.
  3. Leave the eSIM off until you arrive. On landing, turn ON Data Roaming for the vigxo line.
  4. Set the vigxo line as your Mobile Data line. You’re online.

On Android

  1. Tap the Android install link in your email — or Settings → Network & internet → SIMs → Add eSIM → scan the QR.
  2. Download the profile and name it “vigxo travel”.
  3. On arrival, enable Roaming for the vigxo line and set it as your Mobile data SIM.
  4. Toggle Airplane mode once if it doesn’t connect within a minute.

If it doesn’t connect right away

  • Data Roaming must be ON for the vigxo line — this is normal and safe; it uses the local partner network, not your home carrier.
  • It can take a minute or two to attach to a network on arrival. Toggle Airplane mode once to speed it up.
  • Keep your home SIM active for calls and texts. vigxo is data-only; use WhatsApp/FaceTime over data.

What happens to my physical SIM?

It stays active. You keep your number. You will still receive calls and texts (like bank codes) from home. The eSIM is data-only and runs alongside it.

How dual-SIM works abroad

Set your home SIM as the default for Voice and SMS. Set vigxo as your Mobile Data line. Turn Data Roaming OFF on your home line to avoid surprise bills.

Install before or after landing?

Install before you fly. Downloading the eSIM requires an internet connection. Activating it does not—it connects automatically when you land.

How to confirm it worked

After installing, check your device's SIM settings. The new eSIM should be listed as downloaded. Leave it turned off or inactive until you arrive.

The data-roaming toggle

Data Roaming must be ON for the vigxo line to get internet. This is safe and uses our partner networks. It will not trigger roaming fees from your home carrier.

Scanned but nothing connects?

  1. 1. Check that the vigxo line is switched ON.
  2. 2. Verify Data Roaming is ON for the vigxo line.
  3. 3. Make sure vigxo is selected as your active Mobile Data line.
  4. 4. Toggle Airplane mode on then off to force a reconnection. Menu layouts differ slightly by phone.
