Malta: tuhle destinaci nepokrývá žádný regionální balíček — zbývá tarif na jednu zemi, který stejně bývá levnější.
Cestovní eSIM Malta je digitální SIM, kterou si telefon stáhne — žádná plastová kartička, žádný pult na letišti. Koupíš online, klepneš na instalační odkaz, který ti pošleme e-mailem (QR kód je ve stejné zprávě), a vedle stávající SIM ti přibude druhá linka. Do příletu spí; pak se sama chytne místní sítě (Vodafone, GO) přes 5G tam, kde je, a LTE všude jinde. Domácí číslo dál bere hovory a SMS, eSIM veze jenom data.

Na týden je 5 GB pohodlných; na dva týdny, na sdílení nebo na náročný provoz ber 10 GB a víc, nebo dobíjecí tarif, který doplníš za pochodu. Tarify Malta začínají na 4,80 € a je jich 6 velikostí — u každého vidíš cenu za GB, takže je volba jasná.
Cestovní eSIM Malta je místní datový tarif, ne mezinárodní roaming — platíš cenu, kterou vidíš předem. Uvnitř EU máš roaming v ceně tarifu ze zákona, takže tam eSIM bereš kvůli ceně nebo proto, že ti doma zbývá málo dat. Mimo EU — Turecko, Británie, USA, Japonsko, Thajsko — je rozdíl mnohem tvrdší: tam se data účtují po megabajtech. Nastav eSIM jako datovou linku, na domácí SIM roaming vypni a po návratu tě nepřekvapí žádný účet. A kdykoli před instalací ti vrátíme celou částku, takže koupit ji dopředu nic neriskuje.
Pastizzi
Diamond-shaped flaky pastries filled with ricotta or mushy peas. The national snack, sold from hole-in-the-wall pastizzerias and eaten at any hour.

A single network covers both main islands from Valletta and the Gozo terminal. Buses are free for residents and cheap for visitors with a Tallinja card, or payable on board by card. Routes radiate from hubs rather than connecting directly, so cross-island journeys often mean changing.

Frequent crossings from Ċirkewwa taking about twenty-five minutes. Foot passengers and vehicles both. Payment is collected on the return leg from Gozo.

Driving is on the left. Roads are narrow, parking in Valletta is difficult and the island is small, so a car helps for the countryside and the west coast more than for the towns.
